Chakra Flow with Sound Bath
with Robin Ivy Payton

December 10 (Saturday)
at 2:00 pm

Class length
120 minutes

Class type
Vinyasa

Your physical and subtle body are in constant communication, with channels of energy flowing freely or feeling constricted according to your experiences. During the holiday season and with chillier weather, feeling drained, shut down or overwhelmed is common, and our bodies may be adjusting to shorter hours of daylight and a chill in the bones. Alternatively, so much excitement and preparation can interfere with adequate rest and replenishment. With chakra flow, the physical and energetic body is cared for as a whole, with no feeling bypassed, and with the intention of warming the heart as well as the joints. Robin will guide movement, postures breathing practice, chakra awareness and restorative savasana to create flow between the chakras, the power centers at the root, sacrum, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown. She also incorporates sound tools such as the sonic slider tuning fork, gong and metal or crystal bowls to clear energy and encourage recuperation on a deep, internal, cellular level. Feel the mutual support of practicing in community, with others who also desire clearing and balancing between and during the winter holidays.

Robin is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, owner of Leaping Waters Aerial & Support Yoga in South Portland, and co-founder of Maine Yogafest School of Yoga ( with Andrea Gleason ). Robin immersed in chakra studies with Pranakriya School of Yoga and with Grace Jull and integrated these with her own philosophy and experience as a yoga teacher and an intuitive reader. She has been using sound healing tools since 2014 and is continuing with a Quantum Sound Healing training this fall.
