Alicia Jeffords

Alicia Jeffords, RYT200, with additional trainings in Aerial and Yin and a background in Athletics and Coaching.  Her heart and passion to guide people through movement shines forth as she brings an energy that inspires people to move.

Alicia Jeffords

Alicia found yoga through Aerial. She was instantly hooked on how amazing Aerial yoga made her feel mentally and physically. Her urge to empower others and provide the same love of movement lead her Aerial Yoga Teacher Training here at Leaping waters. Alicia completed her aerial yoga teacher training one year after her first aerial class. Shortly after completing her Aerial training she started her teaching journey teaching Aerial Yoga once a week. Her love for yoga and wanting to learn more and provide more to her students brought her to The Southern Maine School of Yoga where she took her 200 YTT. Completing the 200 Hour Teacher Training in April of 2024, Alicia has been teaching with the very people who inspired and empowered her at Leaping Waters and now at Scarborough Yoga.  Alicia’s background is in athletics and coaching, specifically Football. Alicia has played, coached, officiated and Managed Women’s football for 17 years. She is a 12 time All American and has coached athletes in the sport for over 10 years. This has set the foundation for her to be an amazing yoga teacher. Football was Alicia’s Yang and her Yin is now Yoga. Yoga has balanced her life beautifully. Her heart and passion to guide people through movement shines forth as she brings an energy that inspires people to move.

Andrea grew up in Portland, received her BS in Accounting from USM, worked as a CPA for several years before moving to Pro Search as the Director of Recruiting Services.  Andrea started practicing Yoga when she was training for a triathlon.  Chronically pulling a rib out of alignment during training, she treated with a chiropractor who told her she could do more for herself than he could do and told her to practice yoga.  Thus began the adventure of a brand-new journey and her love for the practice.
After 20 years at Pro Search, Andrea made the leap out of corporate into Yoga and Triathlon full time.  Andrea started out predominantly practicing vinyasa and gradually shifted to focus more on the quieter practice of Yin Yoga.   “Yin Yoga balances the Yang in my life, of which there is plenty!”, she says. “Practicing yoga creates breathing room.  Room to pause before I react and recover when I do react to life’s challenges.”

Doris Hall

Hello, I am Doris Hall, a dedicated yogi, energy worker, and seeker of inner wisdom. My journey reaches far beyond the physical postures of the mat and is seeded in the spaces between.

Doris Hall

Doris Hall is a Healing Curator, Reiki Master Teacher, Shamanic Guide, certified Yoga Teacher and Sound Healing Practitioner devoted to creating spaces where people can slow down, soften, remember, and reconnect with their own inner wisdom. Her work is rooted in spiritual practices, yoga teachings, energy healing, and shamanic studies, honoring both the visible and subtle unseen dimensions of healing.

Through immersive sound journeys, heart-centered drumming circles, Yoga Nidra sessions, and ceremonial gatherings, Doris gently weaves rhythm, breath, meditation, and energy awareness to support deep relaxation and balance. Her offerings are designed to help participants ground, listen inwardly, and reconnect with their own innate healing intelligence.

In addition to group experiences, Doris offers regular Reiki sessions and individualized healing experiences. These sessions may weave together intuitive energy work, guided imagery and journeying, spiritual reflection, breathwork, oracle guidance, and other complementary modalities as called forth. Each session unfolds organically, guided by presence, deep listening, and deep trust in the client’s inner knowing.

Drawing from training in the U.S. and abroad, she bridges ancient ceremonial and spiritual practices with contemporary understanding. Her work blends sound, spirit, and embodied awareness - creating nurturing, intentional pathways where insight, inner harmony and transformation can gently emerge.

Joan Quinn

RYT200, a longtime mindfulness practitioner, Joan views yoga as a form of moving meditation—a chance to cultivate awareness through the body. Mindfulness and meditation deeply influence her teaching style.

Joan Quinn

Meet Joan

Joan believes yoga doesn't have to be serious to be meaningful. In fact, she has found that the less seriously she takes herself, the deeper the practice becomes. Since beginning yoga in 2008 and completing her teacher training in 2026 with Kristine Keegan at Scarborough Yoga, she has returned to the mat again and again for the opportunity to move, breathe, pay attention, and discover something new.

A longtime mindfulness practitioner, Joan views yoga as a form of moving meditation—a chance to cultivate awareness through the body. She also enjoys facilitating mindfulness practices, including vocal toning, walking meditation, sitting meditation, and loving-kindness meditation. These practices deeply influence her teaching style.

Her classes blend energizing vinyasa flow with moments of mindfulness, laughter, and community. Joan loves creating practices that build strength, confidence, and vitality while also encouraging students to slow down, tune in, and meet themselves with curiosity, compassion, and a sense of humor.

When not practicing yoga, you can find Joan making art, being a bookworm, and playing with her dog Joy.

Kat Raymond

RYT200, Kat believes that yoga can become something that helps students both on and off the mat through breath work, mind/body awareness and community connection.

Kat Raymond

Meet Kat Raymond, RYT200, Kat has been practicing for 15+ years. She found her way to yoga as a way to navigate everyday stresses with a dedicated practice. Grateful for the multitude of teachers along her journey, Kat looks to bring that learning mindset to her classes. She believes yoga can become something that helps students both on and off the mat through breath work, mind/body awareness and community connection.
