We wanted to start the New Year off by taking a little bit of a pause. The pressure, feelings, and energy from the end of the year and holiday season can be immense. To take a break from all of that, Chris & Molly are so excited to invite you to join them in this very special New Year’s edition of their signature workshop “Slow The Funk Down” (as seen at the Maine Yoga Festival!)
In this very special practice Chris will take you through a meditative and deliberate yoga flow sequence that focuses on integrating your breath with intentional movement. Molly will then guide you through a meditative yin yoga sequence that is shaped by your own intuition and inner wisdom. We’ll then close out with a meditation to help prepare you to step off the mat and walk out into the world with more peace in your step.
Why Slow the Funk Down? Because sometimes the circus of life is swirling on by like a merry-go-round out of control. Flying faster and faster, careening out of control as the minutes turn into hours into days into weeks – overwhelmed by work, the future, the past, the present, family, friends, social media, news cycles, appointments, tasks, chores – everything flying by so fast that you find yourself screaming out into the void of space "I just want a moment to SLOW THE FUNK DOWN!"
We feel that in our bones – and we are so happy to offer you a practice aimed at slowing down and getting you back to yourself. Stirring up that inner peace – rejoining the song and dance between your body, mind, heart, and spirit.
As the great musician Ryan Montbleau sings in his tune Songbird:
“You are the dance, you are not the dancer,
You are the song, not the one who sings!”
This radical act of “slowing the funk down” will give you the space to pull it back together. To gather your awareness and attention and center it back on the most important person in the entire world – you!
