Join us the first Saturday of each month to cultivate awareness and connection with the one companion you will always have – your body! 

Class opens with a breathing exercise or short meditation to help you settle into the space of the room, and the space of your body.  This is your opportunity to leave the outside world outside and pay attention to your inner world.

Moving into Yin Yoga postures, you’ll hold shapes for 3-5 minutes using props to support your body such that you feel some tension in your body, but nothing beyond your edge of resistance.  These long-supported holds allow your muscles to stay cool and gently stress your joints, and connective tissues, encouraging your tissues to adapt to the stress thereby improving range of motion and mobility.

We close class with a selection of fully supported and propped up Restorative Yoga postures.  These postures encourage you to relax and reset,  not just your body, but your mind and nervous system as well.

In Yin Yoga the physical sensations you feel should never be painful and I will offer ways to modify each posture to meet your individual needs and goals.  Please feel free to email me or see me before class to discuss any limitations, or injuries you may be working with.  I truly believe Yoga is for everybody and EVERY BODY and I look forward to working with your unique needs to make this a great experience for you.

All the props you will need for the class will be provided.  All you need to bring is your spirit of curiosity to join me on a journey to work on your flexibility and explore the connection with your unique, and amazing body!
