Sound Integration ~ Deepening: Walking the Path of Resonance
Sound Integration
Sound & Listening Practices
Deepening: Walking the Path of Resonance
An experiential introduction to sound, vibration, and listening practices.
April 9, 10 & 11, 2027
Friday 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Deepening builds upon the skills introduced in Foundations and moves into more intentional facilitation, sequencing, listening, and practitioner development.
The focus shifts from What does this instrument do? toward more nuanced questions:
What am I hearing? What am I creating? What is the participant experiencing? And why am I making this choice?
We will explore:
• Developing more sophisticated listening skills
• Sound layering and sonic texture
• Instrument combinations and transitions
• Sequencing for different intentions and environments
• Rhythm, pacing, repetition, and silence
• Working with gongs and more complex sound tools
• Responding to the room and participants
• Facilitating individual and group sound experiences
• Practitioner presence and communication
• Ethics, boundaries, consent, and scope of practice
• Developing your individual sound language
• Practice facilitation and constructive feedback
You will have time to experiment, facilitate, receive, listen, and refine.
This course is designed for practitioners who want to move beyond simply playing instruments and toward intentional, responsive sound facilitation.
